Common questions
What is EXIF data?
EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) data is metadata embedded inside image files by cameras and smartphones. It often includes the date, time, camera settings, and precise GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken.
Does stripping EXIF reduce image quality?
The stripping process redraws the image on your device. We use a very high-quality setting (92%) by default, so visual changes are virtually imperceptible, but the hidden data is completely removed.
Is my location data sent to your servers?
No. The entire process of analyzing and removing the data happens directly in your web browser. We do not have access to your photos or their location data.
