What to expect
Most anonymous tool usage does not depend on a heavy cookie layer. The live public setup is centered on local storage, limited analytics, cache, and security protections.
- Theme, favorites, recent tools, and some drafts may be stored locally for convenience.
- A service worker may cache static assets or pages in your browser storage.
- Cloudflare or similar edge layers may apply necessary security technologies.
- A public sign-in cookie layer is not active today.

1. Local preference and convenience storage
Simply Tools stores a narrow set of browser-side values for convenience, such as theme choice, favorite or recent tools, and some optional drafts or histories inside specific tools. That storage stays on your device rather than acting like cross-site advertising tracking.
2. Vercel Analytics and limited usage events
The site uses Vercel Analytics together with a small set of first-party product usage events for aggregate measurement such as traffic trends, performance, reliability, and broad feature usage. These signals are intended to describe product interaction rather than the contents of files or text processed in core tools.
3. Cloudflare and necessary hosting/security cookies
Cloudflare, hosting, CDN, or abuse-protection layers may set strictly necessary cookies or equivalent identifiers when needed to distinguish legitimate visitors from malicious traffic, apply rate limits, or complete a security challenge.
4. Service worker and cache storage
Simply Tools may use a service worker and Cache Storage to keep static assets or page responses available for faster repeat visits or limited offline behavior. This cache lives in your browser storage and can usually be cleared from your browser site-data settings.
5. No advertising trackers today
Simply Tools is not built around broad third-party ad tracking today. We do not currently use retargeting pixels or cross-context behavioral advertising cookies on the public site.
6. Future accounts or authentication
A public account system is not active on the core site today, and Clerk is not currently in use. If account features are introduced later, this page should be updated before or when sign-in cookies go live.
